As an experienced business consultant, Katherine possesses a breadth of knowledge across several industries. Katherine has experience as a Content Strategist for several Fortune 500 companies. She also has experience as a Social Media, Community Manager, and Writer. She has worked on projects that span many industries, including automotive, local government, technology, food, manufacturing, insurance, and social good.

Katherine is certified in Human-Centered Design, Prototyping, and Storytelling. She has a Master’s degree in Information Management and Communications from Walsh College of Business Administration and Accountancy and a Humanities degree in Arts and Letters from Marygrove College, graduating from both with honors. She also completed postgraduate study in Information Assurance and Security at Walsh College in Troy, a National Security Agency Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education.

As one of the “Baby Boomer” generation, Katherine has helped “Boomers” navigate their way through social media. On Facebook, she helps them post photos of their grandchildren, find school friends, promote their favorite causes and hobbies. For several years, Katherine volunteered by teaching Seniors how to navigate the social web at the City of Troy Community Center’s 50+ Computer Lab.

In a previous career, Katherine was a licensed Real Estate Salesperson and Database Manager for several Oakland County Michigan Real Estate management corporations. She sold millions of dollars in Real Estate and managed the data of many retail and commercial office properties.

In an additional “past life”, Katherine was a professional actress, singer, and dancer having performed with Dance Detroit and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in The Nutcracker, in Detroit’s Attic Theater, local Detroit dinner theaters, and in Nashville at the Grand Ole Opry’s, Opryland. Katherine is also on a team that supports the online presence of her son, performing artist Rahbi Hammond aka RahTheSon on Instagram and Rah the Son on SoundCloud.

Katherine is married to John Hammond; the proud mother of Rahbi and Jason and is “Yiayia” to Maxwell and Benjamin. A self-professed Foodie, Katherine blogged for 10 years at Kitoula’s Greek Food Journal.

Nowadays, Katherine spends most of her time cooking, baking, and painting. She’s most happy at her easel with a palette of acrylic paints. She doesn’t like the word “retirement,” nor any of its synonyms, because she’s not in seclusion nor is she idle.
